SAN DIEGO - Feb. 24, 2005 - Everyone knows car enthusiasts love horsepower.
The highest bidder in the auction, which will take place on eBay Feb. 24 - March 6, will take home a B-Series engine that has a horsepower output higher than that of the beloved V-8 1965 Mustang. When the engine was dropped into a stock Honda Civic and raced at the famed Bonneville Salt Flats, the car hit 161 miles per hour - a record in its class.

The "Shootout" judging criteria consisted of peak horsepower and torque, best power band horsepower, best power band torque and horsepower per dollar. R&D Dyno from Glendale, Calif. built the winning engine and dominated the competition, walking away the winner in every category except horsepower per dollar.
